MSA’s fantastic coaches and volunteers understand the philosophy and ethos which has resulted in the success of our growth. Empowering women through sport is our motto and all the volunteers involved support that motion By volunteering for MSA you become part of an enthusiastic group of like-minded individuals all working towards the same goal.
I joined MSA’s badminton sessions in October 2017. By March 2018 I became a volunteer and began assisting with the admin for the weekly session. I soon realised that these ladies were like another family and Wednesday evenings became my Friday night out!
I’m a mum of three and work part time as a Community Mental Health Nurse. I enjoy volunteering for MSA as well as taking part in all the different activities they offer. Volunteering for MSA is great because I feel I have gained so much from coming to MSA sessions as well as feeling better physically I have met lots of lovely women.
My involvement with MSA came initially about through participating in badminton and karate sessions and taking on administrative responsibilities. I really enjoyed reintroducing sport back into my life and taking up badminton and cricket activator courses seemed like natural progression to a cause I was passionate about.
